Step-by-Step Transportation Process

Following the correct sequence helps prevent delays.

Step 1: Medical Confirmation

The hospital issues the Medical Cause of Death Certificate after officially confirming the death.

Step 2: Document Collection

Families collect all medical records and identity documents before booking transportation.

Step 3: Embalming & Coffin Preparation

Most airlines require embalming along with an airline-approved sealed coffin before accepting human remains.

Step 4: Airline Cargo Booking

The funeral provider coordinates with Delhi airport cargo authorities and reserves cargo space on the earliest available flight.

Step 5: Airport Clearance

Cargo officials verify every document before accepting the coffin for transportation.

Step 6: Arrival in Ahmedabad

After landing, the receiving family or local funeral provider completes cargo release and arranges transportation to the residence, mortuary, or cremation ground.

This organized process ensures respectful transportation from Delhi to Ahmedabad.
