When a loved one passes away away from their hometown, families may need to transport the deceased by air. IndiGo provides carriage of mortal remains and human remains through its CarGo service.

However, families must complete the required documentation before the airline accepts the shipment.

IndiGo states that human remains travel as air cargo, not ordinary passenger baggage. The airline also requires the accompanying person to contact its cargo agents or cargo team before transportation.

Therefore, proper planning can help families avoid unnecessary delays.

This guide explains IndiGo dead body transportation, including documents, charges, booking steps, airport procedures, and destination collection.

Can IndiGo Transport a Dead Body?

The airline states that human remains can travel on both direct and indirect flights.

However, availability depends on the route, cargo acceptance, flight schedule, documentation, and applicable restrictions.

Therefore, families should confirm acceptance with IndiGo CarGo before making final arrangements.
